De strijders van het Tau Empire hebben namelijk ook het voordeel van geavanceerde technologie. Daardoor beschikken ze over krachtige magnetische wapens, gevechtsdrones en energiegeweren. In combinatie met hun zware bepantsering zijn de eenheden van het Tau Empire dan ook lastig te verslaan, zeker op de lange afstand.
